Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow, Review and Swatches
Everyone's favourite cream shadow base - Maybelline Color Tattoos! In light of new limited edition Color Tattoos that have recently come out, I fugured it was a good time to showcase some of the permanent Color Tattoo's. I own six - Too Cool, Barely Branded, Fierce & Tangy, Bad to the Bronze, Tough ass Taupe and Inked in Pink. I do have a clear favourite, so let's get into it...
The packaging of the Color Tattoo's is pretty nice. The bottom pot is glass and the top is plastic twist off. The only part you have to be concerned with is ensuring that the top is on tight as the cream shadow will dry out.

The product itself is a little on the dryer side, but blends very easily. Some of the them are dryer then others, but I haven't found any of them to be any more difficult to work with. They are fantastic as a base for your powder eyeshadows or on their own. They have fantastic pigment.

To apply them, I mostly use my fingers, but a brush works well too. It's a personal choice, as these cream shadows are very easy to work with.

You can find these at any store that sells Maybelline - Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs, Rexall, Wal-Mart, Save on Foods, Superstore. They vary on price.

Pomegranate Punk

Dark pink based burgundy with a slight shimmer an metallic. It has a slight burnt effect to it when it is blended out due to the colour of the shimmer being orange. This colour works great as a base or as a outer corner shade to darken a look.

Barely Branded
Yellow-beige colour with a metallic frosted finish. Blends great and works as a fantastic base for any look.

Fierce & Tangy
Bright orange colour with a slight stain finish, but its mostly matte.

Tough as Taupe
Mauve-grey colour that is matte. A little more difficult to work with, but works well as a base or own its own as an easy smokey eye.

Bad to the Bronze
Warm bronze colour that has a metallic finish and blends like a dream. This colour works great on it own.

Inked in Pink
Darker toned pink with a metallic finish. Blends great and works well on it's own or as a base.

All in all, these cream shadows are everything everyone talks about. They are fantastic to wear on their own and as a base for any kind of look your going for. My favourite by far is Bad to the Bronze...there is just something about it that makes it a clear winner. When worn alone, it's metallic affect deepens in the crease and looks like you put more effort into your eye look then you actually did.

Let me know your thoughts!
How do you like to wear cream shadows?
